Cowgirl Café Is Now Offering Franchise Opportunities

Cowgirl Café opens first franchised location in Northern California

San Luis Obispo, CA April 2, 2008 – Cowgirl Café, a family style restaurant founded in 1994 by Pat Addy, is now offering franchise opportunities to potential franchisees in California and other parts of the country. Its first franchised location opened January 2008 in Red Bluff, CA. A second franchised location will open later this year in San Luis Obispo County .

Cowgirl Café’s unique theme is authentically Western and the food is “Down Home Cook’n” at its best. The décor is cowgirl and cowboy all the way. Tables are adorned with rope. Spurs and Western clothing hang on the walls. The front dining room is decked out in Western knickknacks, horseshoes and old farm equipment. Walls are filled with photos of the American Old West.

“We want our customers to feel that they are a part of the Cowgirl Café family,” said Addy. “We emphasize hearty, home-cooked meals. Our mission is to make customers feel like they are having breakfast in their own kitchen.”

For over twelve years, Cowgirl Café has been serving up the best cooking this side of the Mississippi . The food is tasty and plentiful and the coffee is hot and strong. The portions are large and the quality is unmatched.

Cowgirl Café provides personalized, hands-on training and support to each franchisee including: a market analysis and real estate location support; assistance with 3rd-party financing; restaurant design, build-out and opening assistance; proprietary information systems designed to help manage the business effectively and efficiently; and, neighborhood marketing systems customized for rapid neighborhood saturation.

Addy has retained the services of FranQuest, a growth management consultant group, to help him franchise and market the Cowgirl Café concept. Franchise criteria involve a franchise fee of $35,000, ongoing royalty of 5% of sales and approximately $200k to $400k required to buildout and equip the restaurant.

"Our goal is to open one or two more company owned restaurants in 2008 in addition to two more franchised restaurants,” said Addy. This is in addition to current California Cowgirl Café locations in Paso Robles, Atascadero , Nipomo, and Red Bluff.

About Cowgirl Café – Down Home Cook’n

Founded in 1994 by Pat Addy, Cowgirl Café appeals to a wide variety of people who enjoy the experience of western authenticity, superb personal service, and high quality breakfast, lunch and bakery items. The look, feel, and attitude are branding irons, John Wayne, and friendly Cowgirls and Cowboys galore. Cowgirl Café specializes in two meal segments, breakfast and lunch. The food is tasty and plentiful and the coffee is hot and strong. The portions are large and the quality is unmatched. Proprietary recipes include biscuits and gravy straight from the Texas chuck wagons, patty style sausage with secret family seasoning, a Giddy Up Breakfast, old fashioned oatmeal, cowgirl size pancakes, grits, Texas sized burgers, sandwiches, and salads and just about anything else a cowgirl or cowboy has a hankering for such as cinnamon rolls, muffins, cookies, pies, and brownies baked right in the restaurant. Cowgirl Café gives back to the community by regularly supporting local charity causes. The flagship restaurant, which also serves as the franchise training facility, is located at 1316 Pine Street in Paso Robles, CA.
